LOTTE VAN DER SPEK

Lotte van der Spek was born in 1986 in The Hague and grew up in the greenhouse region ‘Het Westland’. Here is where her passion for food and agro emerged on an early age.
After studying Food Design at the HAS Den Bosch University of Applied Sciences, Lotte worked for La Place and Australian Homemade in purchasing and product development roles, while at the same time completing her MBA in ‘Business Creation in Food & Health’ at the Anton Jurgens Institute. Her role as project manager at The Food Agency is now enabling her to put her creative passion for food and her sense of innovation to good use.

In between she is also in action against food waste. Together with a team of young food professionals, she founded Too Good To Waste, with which they both won the audience as the jury prize in March 2012 during The Battle of The Cheetahs.

And pay a visit at Marqt sometimes, where Gimme Pops ice pops are sold that she developed together with Dennis Favier.
